What Step N Scroll is
Step N Scroll is built around one idea: scrolling should cost you something. You set a daily step goal, choose which apps to lock, and those apps stay shut until you have walked for them. It is not a cage — Focus Guard lets you buy an app back early at a step cost you agreed to up front, because being trapped just makes people delete the app. An AI coach is there for the moment you want to give in.
Who makes it
Step N Scroll is built by Matheus Mello, an independent developer based in Portugal. There is no growth team behind it — the app and this site are produced by a very small operation, which is also why you'll see "Matheus Mello" as the seller name on the App Store rather than a company brand. Same person, same product.
What this app is not
Step N Scroll reads step data from Apple Health and applies app restrictions through Apple's Screen Time framework. It is a habit and screen-time tool — not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything, it makes no weight-loss promise, and nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice. If you are making a significant change to your physical activity, talk to a qualified professional first.
